Englands Creative Coast Art GeoTour

Take part in the world's first-ever art GeoTour. Using GPS-enabled technology, it will give you a playful, new way to explore seven new artworks along the South East coast.

Perfect for art lovers, families and those wanting to explore their own towns, our geocaches are hidden in, and around, our outdoor artworks, galleries and coastal towns for you to find. We’ve hidden secret seaside-themed stories and rewards in every cache.

Our Art GeoTour has been created by the local people that live in each place and developed in partnership with Geocaching HQ and the Geocaching Association of Great Britain.

To take part, download the Geocache app at www.geocaching.com.

What is geocaching?

Geocaching is GPS-enabled treasure hunt, using smartphones or GPS devices, to find hidden caches. To play, you need to travel to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the cache (container) hidden at that location. Caches are graded according to their accessibility and content. They can simply be a container with a log book linked to online content, an object or prize. There are over seven million active geocachers worldwide and over 1.4 million caches in Europe.

The England's Creative Coast GeoTour and Adventure Labs has been developed in partnership with Geocaching HQ, Geocaching Adventure Labs and The Geocaching Association of Great Britain.
